Application
This instruments is designed for tearing resistance of textile, non-woven fabric, paper, paper board, thin film, ventilation tape, metal sheet material and etc.
Elmendorf method. Measure the energy and force consumed by pendulum tearing sample off to evaluate the tear resistance.
Basically used for testing the force value of (Elmendorf) drop hammer is the specialized appliance to test whether the value of the tearing tester is accurate.
The principle is to put the weight on the testing clamp, then turn on the tester, with the sector plate swing, the weight rise. Test the highest height; calculate the increased potential energy, compare the standard tearing length with the value on the indicator, calculate the error.
